Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, and help with store maintenance.

This role also includes acting in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to operate cash register, perform math calculations and process payments.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and safety procedures.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank for deposits.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases and process payments.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate displays according to planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, and maintain store appearance.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction; assist in duties of Store Manager when needed.
• Perform additional duties as required by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
