Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to support a clean, organized store with a customer-first approach. You will lead customer service, assist shoppers, operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, and help maintain store standards.

You may act as a lead when the Store Manager is unavailable. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six months supervisory or related experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of planograms and merchandise presentation.
• Understanding of safety policies and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math and operate a cash register.
• Experience with bank deposits and cash handling accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, process payments, bag merchandise and assist customers.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and follow planograms.
• Clean store and maintain organization; open/close duties as directed.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
