Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and help set up displays.

In this lead role, you may act in the absence of the Store Manager and supervise the sales team as needed, while ensuring planograms are followed and store assets are protected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register.
• Basic math for transactions and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register; itemize purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; build displays; restock and rotate products.
• Clean the store and maintain facilities.
• Assist in implementing planograms and store layouts.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
