Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first approach. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock and display merchandise, and perform duties as directed by the Store Manager to maximize sales and protect assets.

The role requires leadership in a fast-paced environment, compliance with safety policies, and the ability to manage store tasks when management is absent. Prior retail experience is beneficial for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Retail experience is a plus.
• Ability to read planograms and merchandising guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and process transactions, including giving change.
• Stock, restock, rotate merchandise, and build displays; keep store clean.
• Assist in planogram implementation and maintenance.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of the Store/Assistant Store Manager.
• Protect company assets and follow safety policies.
