Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store and deliver a customer-first experience. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and help manage daily store operations under the direction of the Store Manager.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to lead in the absence of management. A high school diploma and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate exceptional customer service and leadership during peak hours.
• Strong interpersonal communication and adherence to safety policies.
• Ability to read planograms and perform basic math for transactions and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, and assist customers.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and help build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockrooms; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
