Job summary

Dollar General Lead Sales Associate sought to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help set up displays.

In the absence of the Store Manager, you lead in daily operations and uphold store profitability and asset protection. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least six months of supervisory experience or related training.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
