Job summary

Dollar General in the United States is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock merchandise, and perform duties assigned by the Store Manager to maximize profitability and protect assets.

This role leads by example in daily operations, opening/closing under direction, and stepping in for the Store Manager in their absence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred for consideration.
• Six months supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Ability to read planograms and follow merchandising guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
