Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock shelves, and support the Store Manager in daily tasks to maximize profitability and safety.

The role includes leading by example, opening/closing duties, and helping implement planograms while ensuring excellent customer experiences and efficient store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and handle payments.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays and restock shelves.
• Clean the store and manage cleanliness of restrooms and store spaces.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
