Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock merchandise, and help protect company assets while supporting the Store Manager.

In this lead role, you step in for the Store Manager in their absence, open and close the store under direction, and mentor junior associates as needed. Responsibilities include planogram implementation, sidewalk displays, and enforcing safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom, and set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
