Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock and display merchandise, and help with store opening/closing under the Store Manager’s direction.

Expected duties include leading customer service, handling cash and transactions, following planograms, and performing other tasks to maximize store profitability while protecting assets. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a cashier focus.
• Ability to follow planograms and perform basic math for transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and greet customers.
• Operate cash register, itemize purchases, take payments, and bag merch.
• Stock, rotate merchandise, and assist in creating displays per planograms.
• Clean the store, handle trash, and maintain restroom and stockroom areas.
• Open/close the store under supervision and support managerial staff when needed.
• Perform additional duties typically done by Store Manager in their absence.
