Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and help maintain displays while supporting the Store Manager.

This role also requires stepping into a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager and ensuring adherence to safety policies and planograms to maximize store profitability and

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and operate a cash register.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner; total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; build displays and rotate goods per planograms.
• Clean the store; manage trash, floors, restrooms, and stockroom.
• Open/close the store under direction of Store Manager; support in absence of manager.
