Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan seeks a Store HR Representative to support store leadership with coaching on HR matters, staffing, onboarding, and employee relations.

You'll oversee staffing, onboarding, training, engagement programs, and reporting on talent development and performance. This role partners with the HR Market Manager and requires strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalency required.
• Associate Degree or above in Human Resources preferred.
• Ability to present thought leadership, demonstrate leadership presence, and be approachable.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication, both oral and written, across groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist staffing, interview, and selection for store roles and manage applications.
• Oversee onboarding and training to drive engagement and retention.
• Support engagement initiatives (mTeam, mCulture, mPerformance).
• Ensure effective communication to all team members and leadership.
• Assist with talent management, development, and total rewards processes.
• Consult leadership on employee relations and policy matters.
• Support HR projects as needed.
