Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store HR Representative to provide HR support to store leadership, guide staffing, onboarding and alignment with HR strategies. You will collaborate with the regional HR team to champion key people initiatives and drive engagement across the store.

The role requires strong communication, leadership presence, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Associate degree in Human Resources preferred.
• Ability to present thought leadership, leadership presence, and be approachable.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written with ability to facilitate groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with staffing, interview and selection for store roles; manage applicant tracking system.
• Oversee onboarding and training to drive engagement and retention.
• Champion engagement through HR initiatives and culture programs.
• Ensure effective communication to all team members in the store.
• Engage leadership to communicate and follow up with team members.
• Assist in reporting and analysis for talent management and development processes.
• Provide guidance on career development resources and development plans.
• Provide consultation on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and EEO matters.
• Assist with investigations and resolution of employee complaints.
• Support HR Market Managers on projects as needed.
