Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I for Store Development to oversee new store builds, expansions and remodels across multiple markets in the US. This role requires coordinating with General Contractors, Construction Managers and internal teams to meet schedules, budgets and approvals for Food Lion-contracted work.

The candidate will manage bid packages, contracts and change orders, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with prototype standards, while driving efficiency and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability across contractors, developers/landlords, vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Practical construction technology and methods.
• Ability to travel weekly.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes related to GC's, CM's, subcontractors and suppliers for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Prepare and manage contracts, purchase orders, processing, and payment of requisitions and invoices for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure timely completion and adherence to prototype standards, lease requirements, and specifications.
• Develop and implement cost-saving ideas, value engineering and construction means/methods to save time and money.
• Lead weekly project meetings and coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
