Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA, Store Development - Food Lion, seeks a Project Manager I to lead new store, expansion, and remodel efforts from pre-construction through close-out. You will manage budgets, schedules, bids, and contractor performance across multiple sites in ME/NC/PA/SC.

The role requires 80% travel Monday-Thursday with a remote office Friday; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Ability to travel weekly (80% travel) to project sites.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes with GC's, CM's, and subcontractors for Food Lion projects.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, and process payments for contracted work.
• Oversee change order processes to control scope and costs.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones for store openings.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Preconstruction and Operations teams.
• Ensure safety compliance and quality in line with prototype standards.
• Track budgets, generate period reports and communicate risks to senior management.
