Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I for Store Development to oversee new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through close-out. The role will coordinate bidding, budgeting, scheduling and quality control across Food Lion-contracted work and developer/landlord projects.

The successful candidate will manage bid documents, contracts and requisitions, ensure adherence to prototype standards, and collaborate withPurchasing, Real Estate and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; Preferred in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability across contractors, developers / landlords, vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Practical construction technology and methods
• Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and execute complex phased planning and construction schedules.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to recognize construction risk, evaluate alternatives and drive issues to resolution.
• Ability to travel weekly
