Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA, the U.S. arm of a global grocery leader, seeks a Project Manager I to oversee new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through close-out.

You will coordinate bidding, contract administration, and site oversight for Food Lion-related developments, traveling 80% and servicing NC/SC/VA markets. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; construction management/engineering preferred.
• 5–7 years of construction industry experience.
• Ability to lead projects across multiple stakeholders and maintain schedules.
• Strong vendor and contract management with proactive risk mitigation.
• Travel weekly to project sites; valid US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding with GC's/CM's and subcontractors for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Prepare and manage contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Oversee Change Authorization/Change Order processes and ensure timely payments.
• Coordinate architectural/MEP reviews for compliance with prototype standards and codes.
• Develop and implement cost-saving ideas and value engineering opportunities.
• Plan store projects with detailed schedules and milestones; monitor progress.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations and other stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and ensure on-time store openings.
