Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of a global food retailer, seeks a Project Manager I for Store Development in the Mauldin, SC area. The role manages new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through construction and warranty, coordinating with GC's/CM's, vendors, and internal teams.

This position requires 80% travel with a remote office day on Friday and allows residency in NC, SC or VA. Candidates must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability across contractors, developers/landlords, vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to recognize construction risk, evaluate alternatives and drive issues to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage the bidding and awarding processes related to all GC's/CM's and subcontractors for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Oversee the preparation of contracts, purchase orders, and payment of requisitions and invoices.
• Manage the Construction Change Authorization/Change Order process for Food Lion-contracted work, ensuring timely payments.
• Direct weekly project construction and operations meetings with vendors and internal partners.
• Monitor progress to ensure compliance with plans, prototype standards, lease requirements and timelines.
