Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I for Store Development in the USA-NC-Wilmington area. The role oversees new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through close-out, including bid management, contracting, scheduling and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; preferred in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability across contractors, developers / landlords, vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Ability to travel weekly.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC's/CM's, and subcontractors; oversee developer/landlord-built projects for construction oversight.
• Prepare bids, bid plans, contracts, purchase orders and invoices for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Manage Construction Change Authorization/Change Order process; ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Develop and monitor detailed project schedules, milestones and equipment delivery plans.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Refrigeration, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E and Operations on schedules and handoffs.
• Oversee construction activities to meet prototype standards, codes and quality requirements.

Education
