Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of global food retailer Ahold Delhaize, seeks a Project Manager I to manage new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction (schedules, review of plans & bidding) through construction (budget management and sign-offs) to warranty/close-out.

Applicants reside in NC/SC/VA and travel 80% Monday-Thursday with a remote office day on Friday. Salary range shown below reflects ME/NC/PA/SC markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–7 years' experience in the construction industry.
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate contractors, developers and vendors.
• Willingness to travel weekly and communicate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding/awarding processes for GCs, CM's, and subcontractors.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, and invoices for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Oversee construction schedules, phasing, and milestones.
• Ensure safety and compliance with prototype standards and codes.
• Provide value engineering and cost-saving ideas.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations and others.
