Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a seasoned Project Manager I to lead store development projects across the East region. You will oversee pre-construction through close-out, manage bids, contracts and budgets, and ensure timely openings for Food Lion stores.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of construction experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication. The role requires travel and coordination with internal teams, contractors and developers to meet milestones and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
• 5–7 years of construction industry experience preferred.
• Ability to lead projects across multiple stakeholders and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC/CMs and subcontractors on Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Coordinate bid documents, RFQ packages and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
• Oversee contracts, purchase orders, requisitions and invoices for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Lead change authorization/PO processes and ensure changes align with budget and scope.
• Develop project plans, schedules and milestones; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Ensure safety, quality and compliance with prototype standards and building codes.
• Provide value engineering feedback and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Lead weekly project meetings and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Close out projects with punch lists, warranties, sign-offs and final reports.
