Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of a leading grocery group, is seeking a Project Manager I for store development and remodels in the US Southeast region. You will manage bidding, contracting, and construction activities from planning through punch list, coordinating with GC/CMs, suppliers, and internal teams to meet store openings and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; Preferred in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes.
• Ability to travel weekly.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage bid and award processes with GC/CMs and subcontractors on Food Lion projects.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, processing, and payment of requisitions and invoices.
• Oversee Construction Change Authorization/Change Order process and timely payments.
• Manage bid, contract and requisition approvals for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Coordinate redline review of ARCH/MEP plans for compliance with standards.
• Develop and implement cost-saving ideas and value engineering.
• Plan new store, expansion, remodel projects with detailed phase plans and milestones.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E, Operations and others.
• Oversee construction activities to meet prototype standards and schedules.
• Lead weekly project meetings with GC/CMs, vendors and internal partners.
