Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I to lead store construction, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through warranty close-out. The role requires coordinating bids, contracts, budgets, and schedules, with 80% travel Monday-Thursday and a remote day on Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Ability to travel weekly.
• Strong communication and leadership across contractors, developers/landlords, vendors and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC's, CM's, subcontractors and suppliers for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Oversee bid document packages and RFQ submissions to minimize future change orders.
• Manage contracts, purchase orders, processing and payment of requisitions and invoices.
• Administer Construction Change Authorization/Change Order processes to control scope and costs.
• Coordinate redline reviews of ARCH/MEP plans for compliance with prototypes and codes.
• Provide value engineering feedback to the Engineering department.
• Plan and schedule new store, expansion and remodel projects with milestones and budgets.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Refrigeration, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E, Operations and other stakeholders.
• Monitor construction progress to meet timelines and lease requirements.
