Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA's Food Lion project team is seeking a Project Manager I to guide new store construction, expansions and remodels from pre-construction through warranty. You will manage schedules, budgets, bidding processes and coordination with GC/CMs, developers, and internal stakeholders.

This role requires up to 80% travel (Mon-Thu) and a remote office day Friday; candidates may reside in NC, SC or VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• 5–7 years of construction industry experience.
• Knowledge of architectural designs and engineering concepts.
• Proven ability to lead projects and drive accountability across stakeholders.
• Experience with phased planning and construction schedules.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel weekly (80% travel, Mon–Thu).

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding with GC/CMs and subcontractors.
• Prepare bid documents and RFQ packages.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, processing, and invoices.
• Oversee the Change Order process and timely payments.
• Plan and monitor schedules against milestones and standards.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations and other stakeholders.
• Oversee construction activities to meet timelines and standards.
• Review budgets and report financial status to Senior Management.
