Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) to collaborate with the Store Manager on all store operations and to guide and motivate a team of brand advocates. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, maintaining brand standards, and supporting daily store functions.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of retail experience, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate people, resources, and services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability and ensure standards.
• Create excellent customer experiences with strong client focus.
• Implement visual merchandising directives to align with brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Assist in training, operations, sales, merchandising, inventory, and store admin tasks.
• Foster development and accountability within the team.
• Process transactions and merchandise through POS system.
