Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) to work with the Store Manager on all store operations. You will guide and motivate a team of brand advocates to deliver an exceptional customer experience that aligns with the Steve Madden brand values.

You will partner with the Store Manager to drive profitability, manage inventory, ensure visual merchandising, and uphold loss prevention and safety standards while supporting staff development and daily store administration.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and leadership abilities are required.
• Ability to coordinate people, resources and timelines to meet goals.
• Experience in training, coaching and staff development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability and ensure standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences through the team.
• Execute visual merchandising directives to support brand strategy.
• Manage replenishment and inventory on the selling floor.
• Support loss prevention, safety policies, and store operations.
• Assist in hiring, training, and daily store administration.
• Develop a culture of accountability and performance.
• Operate POS and store computer systems for transactions.
• Occasionally cover duties outside the role as needed.
