Steve Madden in Katy, TX seeks a Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and to lead a team of brand advocates dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience aligned with the Steve Madden brand.

You will partner with the Store Manager on profitability, staff development, and compliance, while ensuring merchandising standards and loss-prevention policies are followed. This role requires flexibility and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.
• Ability to work flexible retail hours including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to train and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability through consistency in customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection.
• Create exceptional customer experiences with a client-focused approach and team motivation.
• Implement visual merchandising directives to align with brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise and inventory control on the selling floor.
• Assist in training, operations, and store administration.
• Foster development and accountability within the team.
• Process transactions via POS system.
