Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in all store operations in Nashville. You will guide and motivate a team of brand advocates to deliver an exceptional customer experience aligned with the brand values.

You will collaborate on profitability, merchandising, and operations while ensuring staff development and adherence to company standards. The role requires flexibility to cover various shifts and contribute to a high-performing retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with retail operations and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability by ensuring customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection are aligned with standards.
• Create amazing customer experiences through strong client focus and collaboration with the team.
• Implement visual merchandising directives to maintain brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in training, operations, sales, visual merchandising, inventory management, and store administration.
• Foster development and accountability within the team.
• Process information or merchandise through the POS system.
• Assist in selection and hiring of qualified candidates.
