Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and support overall store operations as part of Store Leadership. The role includes opening/closing, supervising Associates, and ensuring a welcoming, well-merchandised shopping environment.

The Area Supervisor will execute and supervise company processes, manage front-end operations, support loss prevention, and ensure safety and compliance across daily activities for a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as needed and supervise associates on duty.
• Maintain friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure merchandise presentation.
• Enforce company policies, processes, and loss prevention practices.
• Oversee front-end operations, cashier procedures, and customer service.
• Schedule breaks and manage coverage for back-up and peak times.
• Coordinate with Store Leadership to support store operations.
