Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined section of the store and oversee daily operations.

You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, ensure a clean and well-merchandised selling floor, and enforce company procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining safety, security, and loss prevention, guiding front-end operations, coaching cashiers and ensuring efficient customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Area Supervisor is a member of Store Leadership responsible for a specific area of the Store and supervising Associates.
• Open and close the Store; supervise Associates; maintain a clean, merchandised environment.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain safety, security, and loss prevention throughout the store.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control, and front-end procedures.
• Oversee front-end operations and payroll-related duties as assigned by Store Manager.
