Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and supervise staff as the Manager on Duty.

This role includes opening/closing the store, maintaining a welcoming shopping environment, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation. The Area Supervisor will model excellent customer service, uphold safety and loss prevention standards, supervise front-end operations, and support administrative duties under the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as assigned, supervise associates.
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure safety and loss prevention across the store.
• Provide front-end supervision and operational coverage as needed.
• Assist with administrative duties and reporting as assigned by Store Manager.
