Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist with daily operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment with correct merchandising.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety, loss prevention, and front-end standards while coaching staff and maintaining a high level of customer service at all times.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise operations when on duty.
• Supervise Associates and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Implement and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain loss prevention awareness and store safety.
• Train and coach Associates on cash handling and front-end procedures.
