Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee daily operations as Manager on Duty. You will supervise associates, ensure merchandise presentation, maintain safety, and uphold company standards across front-end and back-of-house tasks.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, enforcing loss prevention, coaching staff, and ensuring a friendly, efficient guest experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as assigned by Store Leadership.
• Supervise Associates and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean, organized work area.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash registers and shortage control policies.
• Manage break schedules and ensure Front End efficiency.
• Handle payroll-related duties and other admin tasks as assigned.
