Meijer is seeking an Area Leader to oversee engagement, performance management and coaching for a span of care. You will drive recognition, talent development and succession planning while directing Leads and Team Leaders.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members to provide clear and precise direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Demonstrates ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.
• Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking and applies it to the business.
• A thorough understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs and gain market share.
• A strong business acumen and innovative attitude to set the industry standard.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all team members and vendors feel valued.

Responsabilidades

• Engages with team members in span of care to ensure onboarding, training and development, and coaching for success.
• Identifies talent and engages in career discussions to support store staffing and leadership pipeline.
• Engages in candid discussions with team members to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities.
• Accountability for area operations and financial results by overseeing execution of corporate plans to maximize sales and productivity and owning budget line items in the P&L.
• Drives safety and compliance throughout the store and manages overall condition, following all procedures.
• Ensures Leads and Team Leaders provide guidance and assign daily work for team members and training needs.
