Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Area Leader to drive engagement, coaching, and performance across a span of care. You will oversee operations and financials, manage staffing and development, and implement process improvements while upholding Meijer’s culture and standards.

You will lead Leads and Team Leaders, ensure safety and compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to maximize sales and productivity in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in retail/grocery or customer service.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong service mindset and ability to lead.
• Ability to analyze financial information for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to onboard, train, and coach.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing strategy for leadership roles.
• Candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, including budgeting.
• Drives safety and compliance across the store and staff.
• Directs Team Leaders and Leads in daily work assignments.
