Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Area Leader to oversee operations and financial performance across designated stores.

You will direct Leads and Team Leaders, drive coaching, recognition and talent development, and ensure adherence to corporate plans to maximize sales and productivity. You’ll lead onboarding, training and development across the span of care, identifying talent and fostering a diverse pipeline for future leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use it to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee area operations and financials, including budgeting, forecasting, productivity and shrink.
• Lead and develop Leads and Team Leaders; coach and provide feedback to team members.
• Drive safety, compliance and store condition management; manage staffing and training needs.
• Identify process improvements and foster an inclusive Meijer culture.
