Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close, supervise Associates, and maintain a customer-friendly shopping environment with strong emphasis on merchandise presentation and store cleanliness.

The role requires supervisory experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the Store and supervise Associates.
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Ensure security and safety procedures across the store.
• Lead front-end operations, train Associates on cash handling and register procedures.
• Assist with merchandising, stockroom organization and back-stock security.
• Support payroll and administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
