Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a designated store area and support overall operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment, with emphasis on merchandise presentation and clean work areas.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, brand representation, and adherence to company processes across merchandising and front-end operations.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Maintains safe and secure environments, prioritizing safety and reporting unsafe conditions.
Supervises Associates and manages store operations during Manager on Duty shifts.
Represents the Ross brand and upholds professional appearance and dress code.
Oversees merchandising, stockroom organization and floor recovery to company standards.
Executes loss prevention practices and protects confidential information.
Trains and coaches Associates on POS procedures and customer service.
