Job summary

Ross Stores is looking for an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee store operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close, supervise associates, ensure clean, inviting merchandising, and maintain a safe shopping environment.

Strong English communication, supervisory experience, and availability for evenings/weekends are required. You will support loss prevention, front-end supervision, and daily merchandising tasks to drive store success.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Maintains safe and secure environments on the sales floor and reports unsafe conditions.
Provides customer service with courtesy and professionalism.
Represents and supports the Ross brand through professional appearance and store upkeep.
Ensures merchandising standards, stockroom organization and back-stock processing.
Manages front-end operations, cashier training, and shortage control policies.
Assists with payroll administration and other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
