Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and supervise operations during Manager-on-Duty shifts. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, ensure friendly, easy-to-shop environment, maintain merchandise presentation, and uphold company processes.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and excellent customer service skills; experience supervising retail teams, familiarity with POS, and ability to work evenings and weekends are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates on duty.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and clean, easy-to-shop environments.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and company processes across the store.
• Lead front-end operations and ensure efficient customer flow.
• Assist with payroll administration and associate scheduling as needed.
