Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a designated store area and support overall operations when serving as Manager on Duty. You will supervise Associates, ensure a safe and friendly shopping environment, and uphold merchandising standards.

The role requires strong communication, prior supervisory experience, and proficiency with POS systems. Availability to work varied hours including evenings and weekends is expected to support store needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and area performance.
• Open and close the store as needed and supervise during Manager on Duty shifts.
• Ensure safety, loss prevention, and secure environments for customers and associates.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and clean, organized stockrooms.
• Coach Associates on cash handling, signing, and front-end procedures.
