Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a dedicated Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with strong merchandise presentation.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, brand representation, and adherence to company policies across front-end operations, stockrooms, and loss prevention. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates during Manager on Duty coverage.
• Maintain a safe, secure and clean shopping environment with proper merchandise presentation.
• Represent and uphold the Ross Stores brand; enforce dress code and store standards.
• Manage merchandising, back stock, stockroom organization, and proper sign/markdown processes.
• Supervise Front End operations, cashier performance, and break scheduling.
• Support loss prevention initiatives and adherence to company policies.
