Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is a leading off-price retail chain with over 2,200 stores nationwide. We seek an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and manage general operations when acting as Manager on Duty.

You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment. You will ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean work area, while executing company processes and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates."
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Ensure safety and loss prevention practices are followed.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Manage front-end operations to maintain pace and customer flow.
• Oversee merchandising, stockroom organization, and signing as required.
