Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee general operations as the Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with strong product presentation.

The role requires supervising operations, enforcing safety, and ensuring adherence to company processes across merchandising, front-end, and stockrooms while maintaining loss prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure store environment and reports unsafe conditions.
• Supervises Associates and ensures proper store operations when Manager on Duty.
• Ensures merchandise presentation and clean, organized stockrooms.
• Executes company best practices to maximize productivity with minimal steps and touches.
• Oversees Front End operations, coaching cashiers and managing break schedules.
• Manages loss prevention and maintains a visible customer service presence on the floor.
