Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a designated store area and oversee daily store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will supervise Associates, ensure clean and organized merchandising, and uphold safety and loss-prevention standards.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service focus, and ability to manage front-end operations and administrative tasks. Evening and weekend availability is expected in this supervisory position.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates.
• Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Oversee payroll administration and Associate scheduling as needed.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
