Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist in store operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, ensure merchandising and a clean, welcoming environment.

You will uphold safety, loss prevention, front-end operations, and administrative duties, with emphasis on customer service, leadership, and adherence to company best practices.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store; supervise Associates when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and a clean, welcoming environment.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention and company best practices.
• Lead front-end operations and ensure efficient checkout flow.
• Support administrative duties such as payroll and scheduling as assigned.
