Job summary

Health First in Florida is seeking a Sterile Processing department leader to ensure Quality/ No Harm, Customer Experience and Stewardship in daily operations. You will support the management team and oversee the SPD team to maintain instrument readiness and efficiency.

The role emphasizes staff development, adherence to policies, and collaboration with OR teams to optimize workflow and case readiness.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification from IAHCSMM preferred.
• Must be able to read and write in the English language for effective communication and record keeping.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledgeable of computers
• Sound organizational skills to include time management and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Leads a multi-skilled team using team-building and communication skills.
• Maintain confidential personnel information and required documentation.
• Ensure mandatory programs are completed by associates.
• Coordinate interviews, hires and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Develop staff professionally and provide in-service training.
• Attend scheduled meetings and committees as directed.
