Job summary

SCA Health is hiring an experienced Sterile Processing Lead/Supervisor in Jacksonville, FL. The role ensures high-quality sterilization of instruments and coordination with the SPD team to certify competency across all SPD duties used in the operating room.

The ideal candidate will have extensive sterile processing knowledge, strong communication with OR staff, and be adaptable to shifting schedules while maintaining standards of infection control.

Qualifications

• Certification in Sterile Processing highly preferred.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 4 Years of Sterile Processing Experience required.
• 1-2 years as Lead Technician/Supervisor preferred.
• Knowledge of typical OR equipment required.
• Must be personable, friendly and flexible with schedule.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains orderly department and ensures proper stocking.
• Creates department schedule to ensure daily coverage.
• Knowledge of sterilization procedures and aseptic technique.
• Cleans, wraps, and disinfects instruments and equipment.
• Keeps records and documents related to sterilization.
• Performs routine inventory and orders supplies as needed.
• Supports OR teams and assists in room turnover.
