Job summary

SCA Health in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Sterile Processing Lead to ensure safe, efficient processing of instruments and supplies in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will lead a team, maintain infection control standards, and coordinate sterilization workflow.

As a key member of the sterile processing team, you will ensure readiness of instruments, maintain inventory, and collaborate with ASC staff to support patient care and safety across procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
• Sterile processing or operating room experience required.
• Certified as CSPDT or CRST (preferred).
• Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily processes to collect, clean, decontaminate, disinfect and sterilize instruments and reusable devices.
• Ensures sterile processing environment is safe and equipment functions properly.
• Maintains inventory and records; labels items with name and expiration date.
• Collaborates with ASC team to update surgeon preference cards.
• Interacts professionally with patients, physicians and coworkers; communicates effectively.
