Job summary

State of Michigan is seeking a Department of State Aide at the Westland area to review resident requests, check eligibility, and ensure applications meet program requirements. You will process transactions, answer questions, and guide customers through services and online options, delivering accurate, timely support to the community.

Qualifications

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Department of State Aide 6: No specific type or amount is required. Department of State Aide 7: One year of experience equivalent to a Department of State Aide 6. Department of State Aide E8: Two years of experience equivalent to a Department State Aide, including one year equivalent to a Department State Aide 7.

Responsibilities

Review resident requests to check eligibility and ensure applications meet requirements.
Process a variety of transactions and answer questions.
Help customers understand different services and online options.
